Foong Jie Lok Lok @ Tmn Yulek, Cheras

I love love love Lok Lok (sidewalk/street steamboat) but haven't been eating alot of it due to the whole "unhygienic" image it gained back in the 90s. You know, everyone eating and dipping it back into the one and only bowl of sauce. YUCKIES, I don't wanna taste everyone's saliva!! >_< Thank goodness, later on they provided the Styrofoams plates (yes i know its bad for the environment :| ) Still, standing around eating 30 sticks of food is very tiring and have to wait for it to cook somemore. So, I was in heaven when my dad told me about this place in Taman Yulek.

Pick what ever you want. Mostly the typical stuff that you can find in all the Lok Lok stall/van. Seafood, balls, kangkungs, sotongs, quill eggs, taufus and etc. Then cook it at the comfort of your own table (well, as comfortable as you can get from a hawker table la) NO more standing! Yay :) This feels like a fusion of lok lok + steamboat.

Im addicted to quill's egg. I can eat tons of them. Oh oh, I also like the "Hersey Kisses looking" fishball. It has otak-otak in it. YUMZ!

Other that the usual cold stuff, Fong Jie Lok Lok also have the "Lobak" stuff too, bacon, chicken wings, roast pork, beancurd, wanton, and etc.. Order what ever you want, and they will deep fried it for you. :D

Super big deep fried wanton. Konch konch konch. The roast pork was abit dry.

The satay sauce is pretty good especially for the kangkungs and sotongs. I love the chili sauce too...very spicy.

Color coded pricing. Pretty reasonable.

I always get lok lok cravings after cold rainy nites :) Foong Jie Lok Lok is located near to the famous Hau Kee Restaurant in Taman Yulek. Also a walking distance away from the "Yulek Wai Sek Kai" Look out for the big bright yellow signage.
