Heya guys, I have to keep this a short. Been so busy doing my programme book project lately.
:(( Im so sorry I had to cancel the dinner so last min Big Boys Oven . Wanted to meet up with you guys so badly. Boo hoo. Thousand of apologies!
Im on a cupcake frenzy. Have tried out 3 different places. Will start with the cupcakes from Cuppacakes by Wondermilk (@ The Apartment, The Curve) first.
This is my first time trying out Cuppacakes by Wondermilk. Heard so much about them. I had my fair share of drooling over the glossy flossy cupcake pics on their website too. Since Im extremely lazy to order and wait for it. I manage to drop by at The Curve for a quick cupcake break.
I didnt even have time to take pics :(( So all the pics here are from Cuppacakes by Wondermilk.

What a pretty display!! I adore it, so English looking! The ppl at The Apartment are abit slow tho. I have to talk to 4 different fella just to take away 2 cupcakes. Gosh!

I had the Strawberry Dream. It look awesome. Very very pretty!
One thing I hate about the Cuppacakes cupcakes is the cupcake holder, that paper wrapper what ever you call it. Cupcake cup? :/ Its so hard to eat the cake. I have to squeeze it out like eating NiNi Jelly and because of that all the icing smudged up. Grrrr..
The taste of the strawberry icing is too artificial. Reminds me of that Pokka Strawberry Stick biscuits and I didnt like the strawberry flavor chips all tenggelam to the bottom of the wrapper.

This is the Mint Chocolate Chip. Taste much better than the Strawberry one. Love the colour and the drizzling chocolate sauce but hate the not so moist cake. The chips also all tenggelam to the bottom.
So my conclusion is, very very very nice to see but not so delicious. I don't know about their box set ones. Maybe taste better, maybe the same...I don't know. Do tell me if you have tried it before.
P/s: If you know any super delicious cupcakes. Please please please let me know. I need to satisfy my hunger for the perfect cupcake. :D
BTW, Cuppacakes @ The Apartment is very pricey. RM4.00 for one piece and its not big.
The Apartment
The Curve Shopping Center
Mutiara Damansara
Marmalade's & Zoe's cupcakes review coming soon.

17 cupcakes:
huh... then i better dont go and try.. better just stay at secret recipe cakes.. wuakkakaka
U need to pull at the side of the paper to open it (see the folds on the paper). Then u can remove the cupcake properly. Hope that helps.
Yeah, they're pretty but they use quite a lot of artificial stuff hence the taste is quite lacking.
hahaha..yeah ur right about the cupcake..i dun like the icing part
I guess I shall stay away from these cupcakes. Heard too many bad things.
Cupcakes are pretty standard...I like orange poppyseed ones!
my bestie bought a box of cupcakes from wondermilk for my fiance's birthday and to be truthful, they're really mini, attractive and lovely but tastes wise.. sad to say that they weren't that yummy after all.. just a very normal kind of cakes :)
Cuppacakes looks damn good but tastes alright. My sis ordered like 600 ringgit worth from them last time and they were... quite ineffecient (POG talk reads '22 hoe).
Maya Tan (of Instant Cafe Theatre, not a cafe, but a theatre troupe) makes much better tasting novelty cupcakes...
You should also review delicious' cupcakes... i like.
jing: That is what I feel la. RM4.00 for a medium size cupcake is pretty expensive.
boo_licious: OMG!!!! hahaha and I was squeezing it like nini jelly. Stupid me! Hehe....my dumb blonde moment. Thanks Boo!
kampungboycitygal: such a waste hor, they look so pretty..but lacking in taste.
wmw: ooooo i like orange poppyseed too. Is it me or you feel sleepy too after eating it.
meiyen: Yea, very very nice to see. Alot of themes too...Im those that easily kene tipu by cute packaging. Haih.....
chi_too: LORD!!!RM600 worth of cupcakes? Feed the entire kampung ker?
Ooohh the cupcake in delicious , is the one with the gummi bear rite? Cant remember how that taste like. Had it ages ago.
Honeystar:
Have you tasted Sunny Yaw's cupcake? heheheheheheh
big boys oven: Oooooo...I wan some of Sunny Yaw's cupcake! :D
I was just joking with you. but you will once I have some first. ;)
oh? thanks for the frank comments bout the taste. heard and read so much about them and they're reli pretty but no one's ever commented on their taste before. sigh. looks like i'm gonna have to search for nicer ones when i get back :)
yayyaa.. i heard a lot of ppl said it looks nice but the taste was so so only..
ive ordeed from them before too after drooling on their pretty pictures in their site but i got a bad bad result of cupcake. and yeah people at the party commented that the taste was not to much to brag about too.
try www.vannillapod.com they're much cheaper and the cake and icing are fabulous. just my 2 cent.
hi, i recommend delicious's choc-banana no. w peanut butter icing. guaranteed to put on an immediate pounds upon lip to tongue contact.
remember girls: a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips;)
I tried 3 shops selling cupcakes; wondermilk at Damansara, cupcake chic at The Curve and Pretty Frosting at Amcorp Mall. Wondermilk was dissappointing. The cake texture was lumpy and dry. Their best was the orange cupcake w choc ganache. Cupcake Chic is the sweetest. The cake is so moist but the frosting is so very sweet. But I was quite impressed with pretty frosting. Theirs were soft and moist and look good too. Mind you, this is only my opinion. Mayb others don't agree. But I've asked around and got about the same answer from my colleagues.
I'm a super cupcake junkie and was stoked when I rushed into Apartment to purchase some cupcakes.. very pretty!
Bought a mix of Royal Vanilla, Mint Choc Chip, Strawberry Dream and something Orange (??)
Was disgusted to find out that the Strawberry Dream had turned rancid..the icing smelt 'off' like milk turned bad. When I pulled the paper away from the cake- it left thin white strings like saliva along the edges of the papercup. eww...
Too bad I only discovered this when I reached home with my takeaway, if I'd eaten it there and then- I'd have asked them to change the cupcake! wasted one beautiful cupcake:(
